Well, I've been working on a few projects.  One is to set up a new website for Minnesota Artists Association, or as most of us call it, MAA, a group of artists, with all types of media and backgrounds that gather monthly to talk and demonstrate and have two shows annually.  the new website is in progress (aren't they all?) and can be found at www.minnesotaartistsassociation.com.  Friday night I went to Old Town Artists in St Paul and painted a young boy by the name of Gabriel.  Gabriel's fath...

Well, I did take a big sheet and painted a man sitting on a blue chair.  The slide show is now up and running under available paintings for sale.  Another heavenly 80 degree weather here in Minneapolis.  the painting of the lake monster is of Calhoun Lake, where someone had placed a plastic monster this summer for laughs.  So when I painted there along with my plein air friend, I added a monster.

I haven't painted anything worth while for awhile.  It's balmy out but I've had a chest cold that makes me timid to tackle plein air.  But tomorrow I plan to take a big sheet and start in, blasting paint and having fun.  Tonight I wandered into a slide.com site and started a slide show.  That was an experience but it does not solve the problem I have of showing my paintings separately and telling the stories that go with each one.  I'll let you know how it goes.  Emmy

Finally, I am back to do some work on my website.  The big news is that my painting "Friends Who Quilt" was juried into the Minnesota State Fair.  The show is very exciting and very worth going to.  To be in the show is a thrill and I am feeling very fortunate.  The painting has sold and I wonder if a quilter bought it.
