It has been a long very cold winter here in Minnesota and most of the country can say the same. I continue to paint, some good, some bad, but I'm painting. Also I have been to the Minneapolis Institute of Art to sketch and I find this a very uplifting experience. I think it is the time it takes to sketch from a painting that establishes the painting in my brain and brings its gifts to me. I keep a little notebook for that activity and it is a great resource. After much tearing of hair and wringing of hands, I am back on my blog having been unable to function for a couple of months and trying to figure out what had gone wrong. So it is January, and I have a few resolutions and hopes for the New Year, as I expect you do as well, In the Art World, I hope to keep on painting and hope to fill my heart with color and joy and adventure.
